Abstract

Seed dormanoy in subterranean clover ('1'rifolium 8ubterraneum L.) was shown to be dependent, at least in part, on the gen'otype of the embryo, as distinot from that of the testa. Analyses of data from F ;s, and from a diallel, demonstrated that degree of dormanoy was highly heritable. The average results of seeds from F 1 plants were similar to those from the mid-parent. But results from four sets of F. plants indioated a tendenoy for dominance of high dormancy.
