Abstract
The pattern of virus X development in the inoculated leaves of immune, localized reacting, and susceptible phenotypes in the potato has been studied. The results indicate that immunity is not absolute. Phenotypes giving a localized reaction cannot be regarded as hypersensitive. The evidence shows that an inactivating system restricts the development of the virus as soon as infection takes place.https://doi.org/10.1071/BI9520237
