Abstract
The relationships of the Australia–New Guinea representatives of the tribe Bolboceratini to the world fauna are examined. The results indicate that, with the exception of the genus Eucanthus, all genera are endemic to the Australian Region. Ten genera, four of them new, are delimited: Eucanthus Westwood, Elephastomus Macleay, Gilletinus Boucomont, Stenaspidius Westwood, Bolborhachium Boucomont, Blackburnium Boucomont, Bolbobaineus, gen. nov., Australobolbus, gen. nov., Blackbolbus, gen. nov., and Bolboleaus, gen, nov. All genera are keyed, major characters illustrated, and all described species, including synonyms, are listed under the appropriate genera. General habits and distribution patterns are discussed.https://doi.org/10.1071/AJZS050
