Abstract
The limits of the subfamily Ophioninae are defined and keys given to the seven genera and 54 species found in Australia. Two genera and 27 species are described as new, 13 new synonymies are proposed and three new combinations are made. The distributions of the species are outlined and brief notes on host preferences, where known, are given. The relative taxonomic merits of characters widely used in the separation of species are discussed and the known final-instar larvae are described.https://doi.org/10.1071/AJZS049
