Osmylidae (Insecta, Neuroptera) From New-Guinea

Abstract

The Osmylidae of New Guinea are revised, and their taxonomic and distributional relationships discussed. All are Spilosmylinae, and are referred to Spilosmylus Kolbe, s.l. Fourteen new species are described, and illustrations and a key provided to aid recognition of the 15 species so far known from the area. Comparative notes are given on S. ocellatus (Kruger) (Indonesia).
