A Revision of the Gall-Forming Coccoid Genus Cylindrococcus Maskell (Homoptera: Eriococcidae)

Abstract

The Australian gall-forming eriococcid genus Cylindrococcus Maskell is redescribed. Two species, C. casuarinae Maskell and C. spiniferus Maskell, are recognized and the adult females and their galls are redescribed and illustrated. C. amplior Maskell is synonymized with C. casuarinae, and C. gracilis Fuller is synonymized with C. spiniferus.
