Tricholeiochiton Kloet & Hincks and Hew Genera in the Australian Hydroptilidae

Abstract

The west Palearctic-Southeast Asian genus Tricholeiochiton is newly recorded from Australia with descriptions of four species; the generic diagnosis is revised and a key given to Australian species. The number of endemic genera in the Australian Hydroptilidae is increased to eight, with the erection of four new genera to accommodate seven problematical species: the relationships of the endemics are discussed.
