Abstract
The present paper forms the first part of a review of the large tribe Rutiliini (Tachinidae) in Australia, in which country most of its members occur. This part deals with all but the large genera Rutilia and Formosia, which are to form the subject of a second part. Forty-seven species, in seven genera are reviewed; of these, two genera and 16 species are new. Keys are given to all genera of the tribe and to species treated in this part, and the history, general systematics, bionomics, and distribution of the tribe are briefly reviewed.https://doi.org/10.1071/ZO9680349
