Abstract

A lightweight, portable virus aerosol generator was designed and used initially to introduce a virulent strain of myxoma virus into an artificial warren to assess it ability to disseminate virus and cause rabbits to become infected. It was subsequently used to initiate an epizootic under field conditions. The machine needs to be more robust for field use.
