Abstract

All sheep survived a mean daily dose of 12 mg/kg-1 of pindone (range 4.4-16 mg/kg-1) for 7 days with no signs of haemorrhage, while all active rabbits died when given 1 mg/kg-1 daily or more for 7 days. The voluntary intake of pindone by sheep appeared to be curtailed below the lethal dose.
