Abstract
Two species of Sirodotia from Australia and New Zealand are documented, including descriptions, photomicrographs, maps and keys. Sirodotia goebelii sp. nov., known only from a single nineteenth century collection from south-western Western Australia, has carpogonia with a broad base and usually pedicellate and deflexed trichogyne, long and profusely branched erect gonimoblasat filaments, and longer, elongate carposporangia. Sirodotia suecica Kylin is widespread in Australia and New Zealand, including a number of noteworthy variants. All other species of Sirodotia reported from the region are referred to S. suecica.https://doi.org/10.1071/SB98022
