Abstract

The Western Australian endemic Westringia section Cephalowestringia Kuntze includes all species of Westringia Sm. (Lamiaceae: subfamily Prostantheroideae: tribe Westringieae) with pseudo-capitate inflorescences. Westringia subgenus Muellera B.Boivin is treated as a synonym of the section. The first taxonomic revision of the section is presented on the basis of morphological and morphometric analyses and recognises five taxa, including the following three new taxa described here: W. acifolia G.R.Guerin, W. capitonia G.R.Guerin and W. cephalantha var. caterva G.R.Guerin.
