Abstract

The Al contamination of soil increased environmental danger in acidified fields. It is known that Al toxicity as a secondary effect can bring to chlorophyll degradation in leaves. At present work different components of millisecond Delayed Light Emission (ms-DLE) of chloroplasts isolated from shoots of two genotypes of maize with different sensitivity to Al ions were analyzed at the different stages of greening at Al20+3 presence. Investigation has shown that Al depress in both genotypes of maize as fast components of ms-DLE reflecting of thylakoid membrane potential as such a slow components of ms-DLE characterizing chemical proton gradient across the thylakoid membrane. Observed blocking more effective at slow components of ms-DLE. The Al effect was less strong and observed significantly later in chloroplasts isolated from more resists genotypes of maize.
