Abstract
Ion-surface interactions have application within a number of areas of contemporary physics research. In particular, it is essential that an understanding of the interaction between an ion and a solid surface in a fusion reactor environment be achieved. A detailed understanding of the interaction is also essential for quantitative application of several of the modern methods of surface analysis currently available. It is unfortunate that the necessary level of understanding of the interachttps://doi.org/10.1071/PH840389
