Examination of a Proposed Technique for the Economical Detection and Analysis of Ultra-high Energy Cosmic Ray Showers

Abstract

A study has been made of a recently suggested scheme for the economical detection and analysis of ultra-high energy cosmic ray showers. It is demonstrated that the scheme should be feasible, particularly if detectors are used to sample the y-ray component of the showers.
