Abstract
Observations of 16 open galactic clusters in their continuum emission and at the neutral hydrogen line have been made with the Parkes 64 m radio telescope in an attempt to determine the total amount of hydrogen gas associated with them. In this, the first of a series of five papers, the observing procedure and the method of data reduction are described.https://doi.org/10.1071/PH730829
