Abstract
We present numerical calculations for the flow parameters (velocity, density, pressure, etc.) in a magnetohydrodynamic shock wave propagating in a conducting medium. The effect of ionization in the shock front is included. The results are presented graphically for a complete range of the initial magnetic field strength and direction, and for several arbitrary values of the ionization energy of the downstream fluid.https://doi.org/10.1071/PH650363
