Abstract
The variations in intensity of a charged particle flux when observed from a position adjacent to a point charge have been calculated. This was done to estimate the effect of a Coulomb field on charged particles in space. It is shown that for repulsion a region of complete shadow occurs which has a width, at a particular radius, dependent on the particle energy, the radial distance, and the magnitude of the scattering chargehttps://doi.org/10.1071/PH630464
