Abstract
The influence of temperature and strain rate on the flow stress of annealed and decarburized iron in the stages of uniform deformation has been studied at temperatures down to 78 oK. The CottrellĀ· Stokes law is not obeyed in iron, and the results are explainable in terms of the strong Peierls-Nabarro force in this metal.https://doi.org/10.1071/PH600299a
