Abstract
An analysis of the programmes for a number ·of computations performed by the C.S.I.R.O. Mark I computer shows that a great proportion of store space and operating time is occupied by the control of the course of the calculation, and that the proportion of the store space required as working space by a programme decreases as the size of the progr~e increases.https://doi.org/10.1071/PH540505
