Abstract

The angular correlation of the ?-particles and ?-rays in the Be⁹(d,?)Li⁷?*Li⁷ reaction has been measured. The results show no significant departure from isotropy. The most plausible explanation is that the lowest excited state of Li⁷ has spin 1/2.
