Magnetism and Superconductivity in RNi2B2C Compounds (R = Rare-earth and Y)

Abstract

In this paper I will review the RNi₂B₂C (R = rare-earth and Y) series of compounds. These compounds exhibit a complex interplay between superconductivity and magnetism and are unique in that the characteristic temperatures of these effects are comparable.
