Abstract
The number of births in NSW rose from 90,610 in 2005 to 96,439 in 2009, a rise of 6.4% (Table 1). Most of this rise occurred in 2006 and 2007. In 2009, 96,439 births to 95,043 mothers were reported. The number of multiple (twin and triplet) pregnancies has remained fairly stable over recent years.https://doi.org/10.1071/NB11S04
