Abstract
Between 1994 and 1998, about 20 per cent of mothers were born in non-English speaking countries (Table 44). The proportion of mothers from Asian countries increased slightly from 9.2 to 10.1 per cent, while the proportion of mothers from southern European countries decreased slightly from 2.0 to 1.6 per cent.https://doi.org/10.1071/NB00S07
