Abstract
The number of births per year has remained fairly stable over the past five years (Table 1). There were 87,922 births to 86,460 women reported to the MDC for 2000. Of the 86,460 confinements reported in 2000, 1,404 (1.6 per cent) were for twins and 29 for triplets.https://doi.org/10.1071/NB01S21
