Abstract
The number of births per year has remained fairly stable over the past 5 years (Table 1). There were 86,305 births to 85,072 women reported to the MDC for 1998. Of the 85,072 confinements reported in 1998, 1,174 (1.4 per cent) were for twins, 28 for triplets and one for quadruplets.https://doi.org/10.1071/NB00S04
