Abstract
It is shown by a consideration of colour patterns, of mouth markings of nestling's, and of life habits that the Australian genus Neochmia Gray 1849, is more closely related to Lagonostica Cabarris 1851, than to other species with which it has been linked.https://doi.org/10.1071/MU962115
