The Family Cerithiopsidae (Mollusca) from the Solanderian and Dampierian Zoogeographical Provinces

Abstract

This paper reviews the Cerithiopsidae (Mollusca) from the Solanderian and Dampierian Zoogeographical Provinces in northern Australia. In all, 10 genera and 46 species or subspecies are described and figured, and of these six genera and 42 species or subspecies are proposed as new. A key to the Australian genera is also given, and the species from the Peronian and Maugeaa Provinces have been revised to fit in with the proposed classification.
