Abstract
The process of developing the Australian Infection Control journal into a professionally peer-reviewed publication is nearly complete. Just prior to going to print, I received confirmation from all but one of the prospective editorial board members. That board will consist of four infection control practitioners, four clinical microbiologists, three epidemiologists and two infectious diseases physicians. The names of the new board members - whose primary role is that of reviewing articles submitted for publication in the journal - will be published in the spring issue of Australian Infection Control, due for release in September 1998. Becoming a journal of review will provide a high standard of published papers and support and encourage authors through constructive criticism of their articles.https://doi.org/10.1071/HI98204
