Abstract
Varicella-Zoster Virus (VZV), the causative agent of both chicken-pox (varicella) and shingles (zoster; or herpes zoster), is a member of the family Herpesviridae, which also includes the herpes simplex viruses, cytomegalovirus, and the Epstein-Barr (infectious mononucleosis) virus.https://doi.org/10.1071/HI96518
