Abstract
In August 2006 pilot high resolution 2D seismic surveys were carried out on Lake Lefroy near Kambalda in WA to provide a ``proof-of-concept' for the use of surface reflection surveys for guiding exploration for nickel sulphide and gold in this area. The pilot survey demonstrated the basalt ultramafic boundary is usually a good reflector and mapped a number known and previously unknown faults and shears. A correlation was also noted between zones of reduced reflection and intrusive porphyries.https://doi.org/10.1071/ASEG2007ab150
