Abstract

This paper presents a novel approach to identifying/tracking interlocking Palaeocene sand and shale-filled channels (based on forward modelling, AVO and inversion-of-inversion techniques) in an appraised subtle Palaeocene deep-marine turbidite, Central North Sea. The Brenda Field has been an excellent example of where rock physics can act as the bridge between petrophysics and seismic in the world of interpretation.
