Abstract
The highlights of a palaeomagnetic study of the Palaeoproterozoic Kombolgie Formation, western McArthur Basin, are reported. We show that the Kombolgie Formation preserves a remarkable record of seven distinct periods of magnetic overprinting, and that magnetic overprinting can be used as a sensitive tracer of fluid passage. The overprint record also increases our understanding of the geological evolution of the Basin.https://doi.org/10.1071/EG993231
