Abstract
Good velocity control is extremely important in seismic data processing. Stacking velocities are needed to perform normal moveout correction before compositing common midpoint data (Taner and Koehler, 1969). Interval velocities serve as a lithology indicator and are also needed for depth migration (Schultz and Sherwood, 1980).https://doi.org/10.1071/EG987242
