Abstract
A seismic stratigraphic study of the southern Alkina Block (ATP 259P) in SW Queensland was undertaken in order to develop a stratigraphic framework in which the exploration potential of the area could be assessed. The area had been recognized (Moore and Pitt, 1984) as comprising a seismically complex series of channels, and contained fill that could provide new stratigraphic play opportunities. A model is herein proposed to explain the origin and occurrence of stratigraphic features of Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous age.https://doi.org/10.1071/EG987238
