Abstract
Transient E.M. represents a turning point in the application of geophysics to mineral exploration in Australia. It is a technique that can directly detect conductive massive sulphides at depths which have taken some of us by surprise and, perhaps, have not been readily accepted by the exploration industry. The method must be used with due regard to its limitations, but it has shortened the exploration odds quite dramatically in the search for massive sulphides in geologically prospective environments.https://doi.org/10.1071/EG987199
