Abstract
Despite its well known superior characteristics, the 3D seismic survey technique has never gained wide enough acceptance in the industry, mainly because of its high acquisition cost. This paper aims to present a realistic alternative to a 3D survey based on a recent seismic survey recorded over Challis prospect in the Timor Sea. The survey area is located approximately 650 km west of Darwin in a water depth of 100 m (Fig. 1).https://doi.org/10.1071/EG987182
