Abstract
The petroleum discoveries in Australia have mostly been made after application of a conventional geophysical approach: airborne magnetics and gravity have focused on part of a basin, and then detail for determining drill sites has been provided by interpretation of extensive seismic surveys. It is now evident that high quality magnetics can provide new detail relevant to regional reviews, and can probably assist in targeting drillholes.https://doi.org/10.1071/EG985300
