Abstract

Corrected resistivities from the first 1000 metres of the electrical log of the Chandos No. 1 petroleum exploration well are consistent with resistivities interpreted from a deep electrical sounding near the well. Correlation between the highly detailed resistivity-depth data from the well logs with the grossly averaged resistivity-depth information from the surface electrical sounding is studied by reconstituting the well log resistivity data into a synthetic sounding model.
