ASEG members poll 1977

Abstract

In September 1977 a questionnaire was sent to members of the ASEG. Its purpose was twofold: Firstly to provide a broad picture of the Society membership by area, occupational status, and experience; and secondly to give some guide to the working conditions of geophysicists in Australia. The information gained would of course relate to late 1977, however it is hoped that follow-up polls will show trends, if any, in a long term study for the general interest of members and action if necessary by the Society as a body.
