Electrochemical Synthesis of 2',3'-Dideoxy-2',3'-didehydrocytidine and 2',3'-Dideoxycytidine

Abstract

An improved electrochemical procedure for the synthesis of N⁴,O⁵′-diacetyl-′,3′-dideoxy-2′,3′-didehydrocytidine (8) has been established. The compound (8) was used as an intermediate in the syntheses of 2′,3′-dideoxy-2′,3′-didehydrocytidine (9) and 2′,3′-dideoxycytidine (2).
