Invited Review. Understanding and Controlling Radical Polymerization

Abstract

The present state of our understanding of the mechanism of radical polymerization is summarized. The scope for control over the polymerization process so as to obtain predictable microstructure and reaction kinetics as well as optimal polymer properties is discussed and, where possible, illustrated by examples from current research.
