Confirmation of the Structure of Fibraurin as [2r-(2-α,6aα,7α,7a-Β,8aΒ,9Β,9aα,9bΒ)]- 2-(Furan-3-yl)-7-Hydroxy-6a,9b-Dimethyl-1,2,6,6a,7,7a,8a,9,9a,9b-Decahyd Ro-9,7-Epoxymethano-4h-Oxireno-[6,7]Naphtho[2,1-C]Pyran-4,11-Dione

Abstract

The structure of fibraurin has been confirmed as [2R-(2α,6aα,7α,7aβ,8aβ,9β,9bβ)]-2-(furan-3-yl)-7-hydroxy-6a,9b dimethyl - 1,2,6,6a,7,7a,8a,9,9a,9b-decahydro-9,7-epoxymethano-4H-oxireno- [6,7] naphtho [2,1-c]pyran-4,11-dione(2) by a single-crystal X-ray structure determination. The relative stereochemistry is supported by nuclear Overhauser enhancement results.
