Synthesis of Further Divarinol and Olivetol Lichen Para-Depsides

Abstract

The lichen depsides 2-O-methyldivaricatic acid (1), 3-chlorodivaricatic acid (2), 4-O-demethyl-stenoporic acid (3), 2-O-methylstenosporic acid (4), 4-O-demethylimbricaric acid (5) and 3,5-dichloro-2′-O- methylanziaic acid (6) have been prepared by unambiguous synthesis for the first time.
