The synthesis and ¹³C N.M.R. spectral assignments of some 2,4,4-trimethylcyclopentan-1-ones

Abstract

Some substituted 2,4,4-trimethylcyclopentan-1-ones were synthesized and carbon resonances assigned. The geometry of several substituted methylene derivatives was analysed by ^lH n.m.r. in a situation where ¹³C n.m.r. provided little assistance.
