Reactions of remote functional groups in π-allyl palladium steroid complexes

Abstract

Conditions are described under which the oxidation and acetylation of hydroxyl groups can be carried out in molecules containing remote π-allyl palladium groups. The reactions were carried out in pyridine solution and the products were obtained as allylpyridine complexes. The possibility of isomerism in these pyridine complexes is discussed.
