Abstract
The action of N,N'-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide on amino-protected derivatives of 3-nitro-L-tyrosine results in self-condensation with formation of active polyester intermediates, which proved to be useful coupling components for the synthesis of peptides containing this amino acid. The products obtained include the pentapeptide precursor of a 3-amino-L-tyrosine analogue of the opiate agonist leucine-enkephalin.
