Abstract
Treatment of the title compound (1) with pyridinium bromide perbromide results in cleavage of the cyclopropane ring to yield the dibromides (2) and (3). The crystal structure of dibromide (2) (C8H10Br20) was determined at 295 K from diffractometer data and refined to a residual of 0.054 (1539 reflections, I > 2σ(I)). The crystals are monoclinic, P21/c, a 12.766(3), b 12.317(2), c 12.056(2) Ǻ, β 103.2(2)°, Z 8.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9772661
