The vibrational analysis of the 274-nm system of benzonitrile: A reinterpretation

Abstract

Some aspects of the vibrational analysis of the 274-nm system of benzonitrile have been reconsidered in the light of revised i.r.-Raman data. Four new upper-state frequencies have been identified and the four prominent sequence intervals explained, and a number of other prominent features of the spectrum accounted for.
