Abstract
The magnetic susceptibility between 80 and 350 K is reported for FeL(OMe)2 type complexes of iron(III) where L is aromatic acid. The antiferromagnetism and the single C-O methoxide band at 1038-1052 cm-1 are interpreted in terms of a planar cluster of four trigonal prismatic iron atoms sharing parallel edges and equivalent, bridging methoxo groups.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9750299
